Akinjide Salami

Chairman

Charlean Akinjide Salami is a seasoned development geologist with Chevron Nigeria Limited with over 20 years of experience in the oil industry, working in Nigeria and the United States. He lectured geology for two years (2000 - 2002) as an Assistant Lecturer at the Department of Geology, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, before joining Chevron Nigeria Limited in April 2002.

Akin Salami is currently the Project Manager leading the Non-Associated Gas (NAG) Wells Project. He has extensive subsurface experience developing hydrocarbons in the Niger Delta, Nigeria, and the San Joaquín Valley Basin, California, in the United States. He obtained his first degree in Geology from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, in 1995, and his M.Sc. in Petroleum Geology/Sedimentology in 1999 from the University of Ibadan. Akinjide is also a 1999 alumnus of the Shell Intensive Training Programme (SITP Batch 2). He obtained his MBA degree with specialization in Project Management from the University of Phoenix, Arizona.

Akin Salami is an Osogbo Prince who loves soccer and supports Arsenal Football Club.

Akeem Adetunji Ph.D

General Secretary

Charlean Akeem Adedeji Adetunji, an educator and researcher trained at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), holds Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Ph.D. degrees from the prestigious institution. He was an Assistant Director in the Office of Tutor-General/Permanent Secretary of Osun West Education District and is currently a Lecturer in the Department of Science and Technology Education at OAU, Ile-Ife. Dr. Adetunji has published articles in local and international academic journals, and at different times served as a Facilitator/Mentor in teacher-professional development programs conducted by the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC)-Abuja in collaboration with the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB)-Osun. He also serves as a Facilitator with the National Open University of Nigeria and remains actively engaged in the global research community. Dr. Adetunji is dedicated to facilitating teacher-education programs aimed at promoting the implementation of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) subject-curriculum.

Excel Agboola

Financial Secretary

Charlean Agboola Excel ‘Debo an educator, certified project & facility management consultant and an IT enthusiast. In 2009, after about a decade of working across Africa as an ordained minister and a mission administrator under the World Mission Agency, he founded Newwine International registered in Accra, Ghana. With HND in Applied Chemistry (FPA Ado-Ekiti), he had a postgraduate diploma in Project Management (2019), PMP certification (CIPM Ghana). He’s an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Contract Project and Facility Management (CiCPFM) Nigeria. He owns Project Learn Africa Limited in Lagos and is also the proprietor of Cedarmodel International School, Osogbo.

Ajibola Amzat

Public Relation Officer

Charlean Ajibola Amzat, the Africa Editor at the Center for Collaborative Investigative Journalism (CCIJ), specializes in Investigative and Data Journalism. Previously, he served as the managing editor at the International Centre for Investigative Reporting (ICIR) until November 2022, leading various investigative projects funded by diverse organizations. Beginning his journalism career in 1998 at Mid-week Spring, Amzat covered courts and education before joining The Guardian newspapers, where he rose to the position of Features Editor. He holds a Mass Communication degree from the University of Lagos (Unilag), postgraduate degrees in Journalism and Media Studies from Rhodes University (South Africa), and Data Journalism from Columbia School of Journalism (US). Additionally, he obtained a master’s degree in International Law and Diplomacy from Unilag and completed an MBA at the Quantic School of Business and Technology in Washington, D.C.

Dayo Durotoye

Social Secretary

Charlean Durotoye Oludayo is a seasoned salesman with over 20 years of selling experience and currently leads the Distribution Management and Route to Consumers Team at Guinness Nigeria a subsidiary of Diageo. He is a graduate of the Obafemi Awolowo University and the University of Ilorin where he obtained a B.Sc degree in International Relations and MBA in Marketing respectively. Charlean Durotoye who hails from Amugba dynasty in Osogbo is also a Senior Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and has held various positions in sales management within Guinness Nigeria. His hobbies are reading, driving and coaching. He is also a lover of football and pitches his tent with Liverpool FC.
